The charm and character of rustic pine

The Trickling Tap is a cocktail bar in Grantham, Nottinghamshire with a rustic, eclectic interior. This staircase renovation project called for a cost-effective staircase that could be tailored to suit the atmospheric interior style.

Our solution was a single flight staircase and balcony return. The project included classic straight spindles and square newel posts and was made from our sustainably sourced, New Zealand pine.

The developer stained the timber to give a rustic colour and texture, added a carpet runner and feature lighting to the runner board.
